The main strategic objectives of compensations are: Internal Equity and External Competitiveness. The creation of a salary scale or wage scale serves these 2 primary functions; seeking internal equity within the organization, with an objective job valuation and aiming to be competitive in the labor market through continuous updates.

In generating the salary tabulator, it is necessary to evaluate positions within the organization and then generate the charts of the tabulated salary structures.

Job valuation

Job evaluation is a technique that consists of a set of systematic procedures to define the relative value of each position in relation. Responsibilities, skills, efforts, and working conditions are taken into account. The goal of job evaluation is to determine the level of compensation.
